The 400 Blows
I just watched The 400 Blows by Truffaut for the first time and fell in love with this scene. It makes my ovaries ache.

My New Hobby
Seeing as my life has become a monotonous drone of weekdays and my only salvation is wandering the streets of New York City, I have started a new collection: tags. I have become slightly obsessed with four specific taggers - Back Fat, PERU ANA ANA PERU, Papa Loves Baby, and the classic NECKFACE - who keep me company and give my aimless rambling purpose.

How To Get Shot By The Sartorialist

I don't know about you but I spend much of my days strategizing how to get my picture taken by The Sartorialist and it seems, as proven by Refinery 29, that I am not alone.
Although I sense an undertone of mocking, these are now the only rules, I mean the only rules, I am following.

The Limetree Warehouse
My friend Rachel just introduced me to The Limetree Warehouse, her brother Ethan's band (in which he plans drums) who not only have a great name, but their music is actually really good. Download their free single, "44," off their EP at limetreewarehouse.com.

The "Nostalgic and Playfull" Miss Bibi
I just discovered Miss Bibi, a very sweet and quite clever French jewelery company who makes the most charming rings, earrings, and bracelets inspired by common objects. I want it all.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day/My Birthday!
I am very lucky to be able to say that my birthday is also Valentine's day! If you're going to be born on a holiday, Valentine's day is the one to chose: it's not overly serious or religious, (mostly) everyone is in a good mood, it's an entire day based on love and candy, two of my favorite things, and I will never be alone or unhappy on Valentine's day for the rest of my life (that's not something most people can say...) The cake I made this year was glorious, don't you agree?
2009 New York Fall Fashion Week
In the gray months of winter New York Fashion Week is one of the few things I look forward to, hoping it will provide me with some much needed life and inspiration. But, I am sad to say, that this year's lines were grave disappointments. Whether it was the recession, forcing some designers to show their lines in hotel's and store rooms, or the looming knowledge that this is the last year Fashion Week will be shown at the tents in Bryant Park, it seems fall 2009 will not be a great season for fashion.
Here are some selections from the lines I kind of, almost, liked:
Daryl K

Frank Tell
